CD14(MyR1-CD14),RMab
The CD14 antigen is a 55 kDa glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPl)-linked glycoprotein. It is reported that the CD14 antigen is expressed on myeloid monocytic lineages including monocytes, macrophages, and Langerhans cells. It is expressed at low levels on neutrophils and B cells. The CD14 antigen is a bacterial receptor that promotes phagocytosis of bacteria by phagocytes or promotes the action of macrophage LPS on particulate matter. These proteins act as an opsonin and an opsonin receptor, respectively, thereby promoting the phagocytosis of bacteria by phagocytes and facilitating the uptake of LPS-coated particulate matter by macrophages.
