Napsin A/p40 detection reagent (Immunohistochemical)

Napsin A/p40 detection reagent (Immunohistochemical) is mainly used to qualitatively identify TTF-1 and CK5/6 proteins. Using immunohistochemical dual staining detection and multiple antibody combination technology, there are detected two antigen targets at the same time on the same sample tissue section by one staining process.

Product Feature

a) Napsin A is expressed in normal type II pneumocytes and renal tubular epithelial cells.

b) Napsin A is expressed in approximately 80% of lung adenocarcinomas and provides high sensitivity and specificity for their identification.

c) Napsin A is a useful marker for lung adenocarcinoma and may offer better diagnostic performance than TTF-1 in selected cases.

d) p40 (ΔNp63) is expressed in bronchial basal cells and glandular myoepithelial cells.

e) p40 (ΔNp63) is a sensitive and specific marker for lung squamous cell carcinoma.

f) Combined Napsin A and p40 staining supports the differential diagnosis of lung adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma.
