Calponin/p63 detection reagent (Immunohistochemical)
Calponin/p63 detection reagent (Immunohistochemical) is mainly used to qualitatively identify Calponin and p63 proteins. Using immunohistochemical dual staining detection and multiple antibody combination technology, there are detected two antigen targets at the same time on the same sample tissue section by one staining process.
Product Feature
a) Calponin is strongly expressed in vascular smooth muscle cells and breast myoepithelial cells, with higher specificity and lower myofibroblast cross-reactivity than SMA and MSA.
b) p63 is a sensitive and specific nuclear marker for breast myoepithelial cells and remains negative in myofibroblasts.
c) The absence of myoepithelial staining around tumor nests supports a diagnosis of stromal invasion, particularly when observed in multiple or medium-to-large tumor nests.
d) Combined use of Calponin and p63 improves diagnostic confidence, as the lack of expression of two distinct myoepithelial markers supports a true absence of myoepithelial cells.
